Band Boosters Mission Statement
To assist the Music Director in all operations of the Music/Band Department so the Director can concentrate on giving direction to the program and attention to the music student, which will allow the music student to learn, to perform, and to enjoy the complete musical experience of a Great Band Program.
Monies raised by the Music Boosters are directed into the band budget which is designated by the Director with input from the Music Boosters officers. The final budget approval is granted by the GTACS Executive Director or Superintendent.

Buy a Chair Program
We have an exciting opportunity to raise much needed funds for our Band program! Fundraising for the Kohler Auditorium renovations has now been completed by donations, grants, and the “Buy a Chair” Campaign. There are still chairs left and the band program has been offered this campaign to raise money for instruments, continued stage sound and lighting improvement which benefits all stage users, and bolstering of the band library.
If you, as a band family member, buy a chair in this campaign, over 95% of the donations received will go directly to the band program! In addition, you will have an engraved seat plaque in Kohler Auditorium that you can visit for decades! This gift can be made in memory of a loved one or as an honorary gift for an individual or family.
The band program enriches the education of over 250 children in our system from grades 5-12. The benefits of studying music to the student, the school, and the community are well-known. The school simply cannot offer us much funding. GTACS parents have always been generous and we are indeed most grateful. Yet we face replacement of many instruments that are 25 years old and have a priority needs list. In addition, the band program has matured to a level where higher quality instruments are needed by the students as evidenced by the two levels of concert ensembles in the high school. If any of you would like to see this list regarding future donations, please contact the Band Director or a member of the Band Boosters. We have needs ranging from $35 to $5,000 and any donation is greatly appreciated.
